ULB is a place of constant creative renewal! Concerts, festivals, and exhibitions are regularly organized here: they shape and inspire generations of students. The ULB Culture service hosts or supports these cultural events, making ULB a cultural hub open to the city.
Since the 2000s, the creation of large-scale festivals by students, such as Les Nocturnes de l’ULB, la Brassicole, and Psychofest, has been facilitated by the university. These events inspire vocations and reveal talents from the emerging scene: Stromae, Amélie Lens, Scylla, Caballero, JeanJass, La Smala, L’Or du Commun...
Encompassing all live arts, such as dance, theater, cinema, stand-up comedy, and performances, these festivals, which promote diversity and inclusivity, make ULB a privileged meeting place between artists and the public. As a result, in recent years, the number of projects has multiplied!
This vibrant emulation is embodied daily by the multitude of actors gathered within workshops and circles, as well as the university's cultural practices. It is in this spirit that the LAB Culture was created, an incubator where students can undertake creative projects and imagine the cultures of tomorrow.
We also develop numerous partnerships with cultural actors in the region to offer holders of our ULB Culture card preferential rates and many free tickets. We provide access to cultural infrastructures (Delvaux Hall, rehearsal room, Allende Hall, LAB Culture). We support cultural projects of university community members and recognized circles, notably through the Cultural Commission. Finally, we manage numerous cultural workshops that you can access for free with the ULB Culture card.
